This Rio Linda backyard got a deck that's ready for years of family time. It's a clean, sharp gray composite deck with black railings and steps leading down to the yard.
What we did
We built the deck with gray composite decking, black railings along the stairs and edges, and steps down to the lawn. Just as important is the part you don't see once it's done: the solid framing underneath that everything sits on. What's under a deck matters just as much as what's on top.
The result
The finished deck looks crisp against the house, and the black railings give it a modern touch. It's a comfortable, sturdy spot to step out and enjoy the backyard.
Why composite?
Composite decking is a popular choice for homeowners who would rather spend their weekends enjoying their deck than sanding and staining it. Wood decks have their own charm too, and we build both. If you're weighing the options, we're happy to walk you through what fits your home and budget.
