Bathroom Subfloor Rot Repair & New Tile in Sacramento, CA

Sometimes the problem is hiding right under your feet. In this Sacramento bathroom, the old tile was coming loose, and once we pulled it up, we found why: water had rotted the subfloor around the toilet and in front of the shower.

What we did

We tore out the old tile and cut out the rotted subfloor. Then we put in solid new subfloor and laid new tile on top.

The result

The floor is solid again, with no more soft spots or loose tile, and the new tile makes the room feel brighter too. The before and after photos are taken from the same doorway, and the difference speaks for itself.

Signs of water damage under a bathroom floor

A toilet that rocks, grout that keeps cracking, or a floor that gives a little underfoot can all point to water damage underneath. These problems don't fix themselves, and the longer water sits, the more subfloor has to come out. If something feels off, it's worth having someone take a look.

We're a family-owned, licensed general contractor (CSLB #1083145) serving Sacramento, Rio Linda, Citrus Heights and the surrounding area. We handle bathroom repairs and remodels from the subfloor up.
